This report is the result of a collaborative effort involving the Fund for the Development of Indigenous Peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean – FILAC, the Indigenous Youth Network, the United Nations Children’s Fund – UNICEF, and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), driven by an urgent need: to understand and raise awareness of the situation facing Indigenous children in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Adopting an intercultural and human rights-based perspective, the document aims to place on the public agenda the structural challenges that hinder the fulfillment of the individual and collective rights of Indigenous children and adolescents in the region.
